Canon EOS R5 Camera Firmware 1.8.1 Released, enabled 400-megapixel Shooting Function

Canon EOS R5 camera ushered in V1.8.1 heavy firmware upgrade, added support for “body anti-shake high-resolution shooting” function, now officially open for download and update, IT House friends You can follow the guide to complete the firmware upgrade.

Firmware version 1.8.1 mainly includes the following:

Added [Body Stabilization High Resolution Shooting] function in the camera menu. By utilizing the in-body anti-shake mechanism, it is now possible to record higher-resolution images.

This firmware upgrade supports the use of the EOS R5 body anti-shake mechanism, and adds support for high-resolution shooting modes with body anti-shake. In this mode, the user only needs to release the shutter once, and the camera will continuously capture 9 images and synthesize 1 ultra-high resolution image with more than 400 million pixels (JPEG: 24576×16384) inside the camera.

This function is also commonly known as “shaking music” and “shaking pixels” in the photography circle. It is suitable for shooting still life, macro, architecture, etc., and needs to be used under static conditions.

The [Save Communication Settings to/Load from Card] function has been added to the camera menu. It is now possible to transfer network settings between cameras of the same model.

Added the ability to crop and resize images during transfer to FTP server.

Added [Protect Image During FTP Transfer] function in the camera menu. Images transferred via FTP are now automatically protected. Users can determine whether images have been transferred via FTP.

Fixed other minor bugs.

The Nikon Z 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 VR S Nikkor lens is unique among Nikon's Z mirrorless system. It's Nikon's first 100-400mm lens period, including the company's DSLR lens lineup. It's also the only telephoto zoom lens in Nikon's lineup that goes beyond 200mm, at least until the 200-600mm lens on Nikon's Z lens roadmap hits store shelves. Leica has just officially announced the new Leica Vario-Elmar-SL 100-400mm f/5-6.3 Lens for Full-Frame L-mount cameras. It is an expansive telephoto zoom lens for  nature, wildlife, sports, and action photography. This lens offers the widest zoom in the SL-System and combines high-end technology with the advantages of a compact and lightweight design. It also contains an optical image stabiliser and provides precise autofocus to nature, wildlife, sports and action photography.

The new lens costs $2,195, first available for pre-order at B&H/ Adorama. Along with Leica Vario-Elmar-SL 100-400mm F5-6.3 lens, Leica also announced Extender L 1.4x for this new lens. It costs $875, first available for Pre-Order at B&H/ Adorama.
